The Stanley-Wallace Law Firm is excited to announce that our very own owner and attorney, Kristen Stanley-Wallace is the 2024 President of the 22nd Judicial District Bar Association. Mrs. Stanley-Wallace was recently sworn in by Judge Burris along with Vice President Michael Nicaud, and Treasurer Amanda Trosclair.

The 22nd Judicial District Bar Association is dedicated to serving the legal communities of St. Tammany and Washington Parishes through legal education, fellowship, and outreach. They provide their membership with relevant Continuing Legal Education hours pertinent to their geographical and practice areas, social events, and outreach opportunities meant to strengthen the relationship between the legal community and the public.

The 22nd JDC Bar Association includes 3 different specialty sections: Criminal Law Section, Family Law Section, and Young Lawyers Section.

  • The Criminal Law Section offers CLE hours specific to Criminal Law as well as information and updates on new laws impacting criminal law.
  • The Family Law Section offers Specialization CLE’s yearly, including one all-day Family Law Specialization CLE (6 hours credit) at the Southern Hotel in Covington. Updates on new laws impacting Family Law are also provided.
  • The Young Lawyers Section of the 22nd JDC Bar Association helps promote integrity, respect, and professionalism to its newest members. The Section is composed of lawyers who are under the age of 40 OR have been admitted to the bar for less than 6 years. The Section conducts CLE sessions throughout the year, as well as luncheons with Judges in which the members gain advice on pitfalls of young lawyers, courtroom etiquette, arguing cases, drafting briefs, and many other crucial skills.
