Meet our May Member of the Month

Amber Sheppard is a lifelong Northshore native who spends her time working tirelessly for her clients in Business & Family Law. As the founder and director of a non-profit organization, Amber has a unique ability to guide companies through legal issues using her extensive knowledge of the law and firsthand experience creating and running businesses. Amber is a dynamic and highly skilled researcher, author, and advocate, who is often hired as a consultant by other law firms because of her credentials and ability to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi. Whether serving as General Counsel for small businesses to large International brands, or as Director of Operations for a national fitness corporation, Amber is consistently sought after to help organizations navigate complex legal problems. In addition to Business and Family Law, Amber is well-versed in Personal Injury, Expungements, and Appeals.

When Amber isn’t in the courtroom or working for her clients, she spends her time in the world of competitive athletics. As both an athlete and coach, Amber has paved the road for Mississippi athletes in the sports of powerlifting and weightlifting through her nonprofit Mississippi Barbell. Amber has coached World champion powerlifters, international Olympic weightlifters, and has earned 9 state records and 4 state titles in her own right. She is the highest ranked weightlifting coach in Mississippi and has held various paid and volunteer positions within USA Weightlifting, the national governing body for Olympic Weightlifting. If she isn’t in court or on the platform, you can find Amber dressing up to attend live wrestling events, rescuing animals, or yelling (incorrect) answers at Alex Trebek during Jeopardy.

Amber’s extensive experiences as a business owner, attorney, coach and writer have yielded her with innumerable skills, which she is happy to use to serve her Northshore clients and the St. Tammany community efficiently and effectively.
